Island Coffee Club (“we”, “us”) operates this website and app for our cafe at Robinsons Place Palawan, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We follow the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
1. Information we collect
When you place an order. You can enter your name, phone number, delivery location or table number, and choose the items you want. We use this to prepare and deliver your order.
When you use the contact form. We collect your name, email address, subject and message, and your phone number if you choose to give it.
Information saved on your device. The app stores your current order and, for faster repeat orders, your name, phone number and delivery location in your browser’s local storage. The table number is not saved. This information stays on your device. We do not receive it until you send an order or a message.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not take payments through this website.
2. How we use your information
- To receive, confirm, prepare and deliver your orders.
- To reply to your questions and messages.
- To contact you about your order, such as the delivery fee or a change in availability.
- To keep the website working and secure.
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
3. How your order and messages reach us
- Messenger. When you choose Send via Messenger, your order text is copied to your clipboard and Facebook Messenger opens. What you send is handled by Meta under its own privacy policy.
- SMS. When you choose Send via SMS, your messages app opens with your order text filled in. The message is sent through your mobile carrier, and standard rates may apply.
- Contact form. Messages are delivered to us by EmailJS, an email delivery service, and arrive in our email inbox.
4. Third-party services
This website uses services from other companies, which may receive technical information such as your IP address and device type when your browser loads them:
- Google Maps, for the map on our contact page.
- Google Fonts, for the website’s typeface.
- EmailJS, for sending contact form messages.
- Facebook and Messenger, when you follow our page or send an order that way.
Each of these has its own privacy policy, and we do not control how they use information.
5. Cookies and local storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser’s local storage and a service worker so the app can remember your order and details and load faster. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings under site data, or by using the Clear order button on the order page.
6. How long we keep information
Orders and messages that you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle them and for our normal business records. Information saved on your device stays there until you clear it.
7. Sharing
We share your information only when needed to serve you, for example with a delivery rider or partner so your order reaches you, or when the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No website or messaging service is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information such as card numbers or passwords in an order or message.
9. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the right to be informed about how your data is used, to access it, to correct it, to object to its processing, and to ask for it to be removed or blocked. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You may also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
10. Children
This website is not directed at children. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to place orders for you.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
